DAY 1

We arrive in Bradford and make our way to the Great Victoria Hotel, situated next to the city's Interchange station. Tonight, we enjoy our first evening meal together. Bradford has a wealth of attractive buildings from its heyday none more so than the Town Hall and its fountain. The latter is a modern addition but beautifully blends with the heritage of the scene.

DAY 2

Today we travel by rail to historic York, here we can sample a hand pulled pint at the stunning Grade A listed Edwardian York Tap in York station. A short walk from the station takes you to the famous National Railway Museum, the museum is home to many iconic locomotives and the collections tell the fascinating story of Britain's rail transport history. Whilst in York, we take time out to visit Brew York for a tour and tasting. Whilst in York, we take time out to visit York Brewery for a tour and tasting.

DAY 3

A fabulous trip to the Dales awaits today, as we transfer first to Masham with a tour and tasting at the excellent Black Sheep Brewery. Our trip to the Dales then continues to Bolton Abbey where a short break gives time to appreciate the Priory ruins before transferring to the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Railway for a return journey along the former Skipton-Ilkley Line to Embsay Station, which was built in 1888. Following our wonderful day of steam and ale in the Dales, we return to our hotel for dinner.

DAY 4

Today is the final day of the fabulous Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Beer and Music Festival. The Worth Valley line was a pioneer amongst heritage lines and became famous as the location for both the TV series and film of 'The Railway Children'. Since those early days the line has featured in many multi-award winning TV series and films. The line retains its wonderful character as a British Railways branch line of the 1960's. We have day-rover tickets so we can hop on and off the steam and diesel trains as many times as we wish whilst we sample some of Yorkshire's finest beers and ciders.

DAY 5

We bid farewell to Bradford and make our way home with wonderful memories of steam, great ale, and new-found friends.
