DAY 1

After arriving in Llandudno, we transfer to the superbly traditional Empire Hotel.

DAY 2

This morning we travel to short distance to Conwy, a town rich in history. Here we enjoy a visit to one of the most magnificent medieval fortresses in Europe, the mighty Conway Castle which still towers over the town after 700 years. During our time in the fascinating medieval walled town, we also visit Plas Mawr, the finest surviving town house anywhere in Britain. We enjoy lunch at leisure before we transfer by coach to beautiful Bodnant Garden for a stroll around the wonderful Winter Garden Trail. Following our relaxing short walk, we enjoy warm up with welcome refreshments in the tearoom before transferring back to our hotel mid-afternoon.

DAY 3

After a leisurely breakfast we board our wonderful vintage bus for a scenic one hour drive round the magnificent Great Orme, offering spectacular views as every turn. The rest of the day is then free to enjoy in Llandudno, admire the Victorian and Edwardian architecture of this charming resort, take stroll along the longest pier in Wales or go Christmas shopping in the elegant, canopied streets. Alternatively, we can relax at our wonderful hotel and take a dip in the indoor swimming.

DAY 4

A scenic journey awaits as we travel via the coast to Caernarfon, Gwynedd's county town and home to the superbly preserved Caernafon Castle, a UNESCO world heritage site. Here we have free time to stretch our legs, visit the many attractions or buy some Christmas gifts. Our wonderful circular journey then continues through the lush Welsh countryside and mighty mountains of the Snowdonia National Park before arriving at the pretty inland resort of Betws-y-Coed, We enjoy free time to explore before reboarding our private coach. We then make a brief stop at Trefriw Woollen Mills, where hand crafted products are made on traditional machines powered by a vintage water turbine. After enjoying a kaleidoscope of winter vistas to return through the Conway Valley to Llandudno.

DAY 5

A reluctant farewell to Llandudno and the lovely Empire Hotel sees us make our way to the station for our journeys homeward.
